Default Identification help - Photo Packs

I posted a request for identification help on some Photo Pack cards (probably from 1949 or 1950) on the pre-1980 board a couple weeks back with no success ... so Leon said that I could post my question on the main board to get a few more eye balls on it (and hopefully some help).

Does anyone know what sets these come from?

Notes:

The Joe Gordon and Lou Boudreau are definitely not from the 1949 All Star Photo Packs, and I don't think they're from 1948-1951 Cleveland Picture Packs (unless the photos I looked at of the internet are mislabeled - which appears possible).

The Pirates are not from the 1950 Pirates Photo Pack (I figured that much out), and no other Pirates Photo Packs are in my Standard Catalogue - so I'm stumped.

No clue on the Reiser. I looked at Dodger Photo Packs and didn't see anything like it (although maybe I missed it).

Any help is appreciated!

Cheers,
Patrick

Default 1951 pirates photo pack

the pirates are from a 1951 pittsburgh pirates photo pack set. The indians photos were used in various photo packs but I would have to dig up the precise years.

Default Reiser photo

The Reiser photo is from the 1951 pirates set. Yes I see he is in a Dodgers uniform but that's 1951 quality control I guess. The set is 22 photos. If you want a list of the players I can send it to you. Hope that clarifies it. I have two sets with the same 22 photos and envelope so I am reasonably confident this is correct information.

Also, it looks like they chose a photo (and/or airbrushed it, too) where, to the casual observer, it is not perfectly clear (save for the player in the background) what team he is on. That would fit in well with it being a non-Dodgers photo pack.

Thanks Mike! I never would have guessed that!

Yes, please PM the list when you get a chance - I guess I'm collecting the set now ...

Cheers,
Patrick

Thanks Mike! That makes a TON of sense as there were many "1950" Pirate pack photos in the lot I bought - or at least so I thought.

Makes more sense that I got almost a full set of 1951 photos instead of 1950s photos like I thought.

Appreciate the help! Thank you!
Patrick
