Default Odd Little Postcard - Athletic Field - Hershey, Pa.

Picked up this odd little post card depicting what appears to be a baseball game at the Athletic Field in Hershey, Pa. It's a strange size - 5-1/2" x 2-3/4". Has anyone seen this before? Any idea of it's age and value?

I've seen a few, it is part of a larger set of postcards from the Hershey Chocolate Company. I've seen them dated ca. 1910. There's a lot of 8 of the others in the series on eBay right now for $39.99. http://m.ebay.com/itm/like/181649791...05&_mwBanner=1

I have seen a few myself.

This one recently sold on Ebay. Postmarked 1915 on the back and sold for $9.95.

Should have checked eBay to begin with.......

The perspective on my black and white card is different than the color card. On mine it appears that the view is behind home plate hitting toward the stands in left field. On the color card it appears as if home plate is by the stands and you're looking down the third base line toward home plate.

The fun ones are the set that were the same size as a chocolate bar . They don't go for a lot of money but are interesting .

That is a neat Hershey Postcard. They are neat and some versions were among the first postcards I acquired when I started collecting rppc's etc....

Generic baseball rppc's is continuing to be a fun collecting niche ....(shown before)
