Default PSA half grades - vote now

Posted By: steve

As time marches on, PSA has to receive fewer and fewer mid/high grade vintage HOFers for grading submissions. Eventually there may be no more (very darn few) raw nice shape (EX5+) Cobb's, Matty's, Ruth's, etc. sitting around. Debate if you will, but this is the trend.

This theory hurts the grading companies. Vintage submission declines = less business.

Vote for one:

A) PSA was struck with dumb luck when they originated with the whole point grading system. They had no idea they now will reap much new business with all the resubmits seeking the half grade bump. Remember, as cards sell in the marketplace, new owners may be resubmitting the same card, then the new owner after that, etc.

B) PSA knew full well what the were doing years ago when they originated the whole point grading system. They had the forethought to see the market a decade plus later, and knew they then could cash in with regrades when changing to a half point system.
