Default Admin question....wish list?

Posted By: Brian

Perhaps I've overlooked this before or possibly missed an admin note....

When I make a thread or respond to a thread, then go into the thread and look at my name, there is a little "add my wishlist" christmas box icon. Has that always been there? It looks like it can or is meant to be linked to Amazon.

When i click on it,it looks like its a secure link to my profile page, whats the deal with yours Julie? I dont understand why that made you yell or put a sad face? Did the gift box say something bad,or threaten you? Mine just sits there and doesnt do anything unless i click on the link next to it.....and then it just takes me to my profile page.

Good luck with yours anyway, youre in my thoughts!

Maybe it's the fear of what is inside the box!

I just saw it for the 1st time. That's kind of weird. I would say ignore it.

I hope it's not another form of advertising. When you say it may be linked to Amazon, it makes me wonder. Is this still showing up for you guys? Julie, I got your Email but I can't see the package icon although several others can. Perhaps it's already been removed?

It's not there now, at least temporarly.

When I referenced "amazon", what I meant is that when you click on the icon, it takes you to a Net54 profile page and one of the sub-menus of that page is the option to link your amazon want/wish list to the site. With that said, I think the icon is a form of advertisement.

Maybe the icon showed up for one day because Leon "was late paying the bill" or we had too many hits yesterday. j/k

It WAS convenient, because when you clicked on it, you went right to your realms page on Net54, and could delete scans you no longer wanted ready-to-hand. But the box, I thought, looked like someone asking for a present, or counting the money in their piggybank...anyway, I'm glad it's gone. Even though I have to stand on my head (and I'm not even a goalie!) to get to my Net54 "realms" "files' etc.

At the same time as it seemed to be Net54, there was something about "Amazon," which I use a lot, but don't want to be affiliated with...

All I can say is that neither Brian (as far as I know) nor I know anything about these little doo-hickey's (I just made that spelling up). I would just disregard them unless you're adventurous. I'm not.
