Default Original Celtics autographs

Posted By: Dave

I just found a couple of old scrapbooks that have stuff in them from mostly the 60's. They have a lot of newspaper clippings, photos, autographs, ticket stubs etc. and I came across this cardboard piece autographed by the original Celtics. Just wondering if anyone can tell if they appear to be real and what an approximate value might be on them. Thanks.

Default Original Celtics autographs

This is a rather neat item with four Hall Of Fame Basketball signatures. This is signed by five of the original members of the 1920's Celtics, Hall Of Famers Nat Holman, Henry Dehnert,Johnny Lapchick and Johnny Beckman. As well as Pete Barry.

Holman passed away in 1995 (A legend in the 1920's), Dehnert passed away in 1979, Lapchick passed away in 1970, Beckman passed away in 1968 and I'm unsure of Barry.

This was probably signed in the mid-1960's and I would estimate a value of about $75-100 on this piece.

Great names, but unfortunately forgotten in this LeBron James age.

This is a very neat item. The autographs are all authentic. The Hall of Famers are generally readily available. The "best" of the lot may be Pete Barry, who I always found a little more difficult to find. I would agree that the $75 range would be the right value.

Always looking for T59 Flag cards and T113 Types of Nations.
