If you had the chance to buy 5 T206 raw cards for $125:

1.)Frank Chance 'portrait' Polar Bear back - condition probably a PSA 10 if rated?

2.) Donlin - Sweet Caporal

3.) McEntyre - Piedmont

4.) Dunn - Old Mill

5.) Snodgrass - Polar Bear

Would you do it? I've personally seen the cards and they are legit. Found them at an antique store and cannot believe the guy is willing to sell them for this. Unless I'm missing something here? Aside from the Chance, the others are pretty decent shape.

Is this a joke? A PSA 10 Chance for $125, my guess is you know the answer to that. It is also my guess that it could well be trimmed, otherwise be there first thing in the morning.

I'm assuming you mean the Chance would be a PSA 1 or an SGC 10?

That aside, assuming the cards would grade out to a PSA 4 or so each, I would guess the lot would be worth maybe around $200-$225 (please someone correct me if I'm wrong).

The man had probably 20 various T206 cards and wanted $569 for all of them. There were quite a few with Polar Bear backs and only one with Old Mill(which I wanted). Some were Piedmont and Sweet Caporal. So, those are the 5 I picked out I wanted the most. I offered him $100 on the spot for the 5 cards. He didn't want to break them up for some odd reason at first, and only wanted to sell all 20. I wasn't interested as I didn't have the money. Then I got a call from him 2 days later willing to do it, but for $125 and not $100. I really only wanted the Chance card, but I couldn't get him to sell them individually. It is either take all 5 or nothing.

Jon is pretty much on point with this one. $200 - $225 is a reasonable estimate. Assuming the cards aside from the Chance are PSA 4, that puts their value at roughly $45 - $50 each (graded). The Old Mill will provide a premium. The Chance is a toss up. PSA 1's and SGC 10's don't have very reliable sales estimates.

A very nice looking SGC 10 Chance Red Portrait (no wrinkles and nice corners but a little paper loss on the back) sold for $64 on eBay in October.
