Default New record price for this T206 "common"

Tough card to find in nice shape. Together with the Lindaman, both T206s are STILL underpriced in top condition IMHO.

let me preface that I don't know T206 pricing...however, judging from the fact that the 2nd high bidder was who it was, I would conclude that this card probably went at a fair price, or even went at a cheap price.

Its a slightly tougher common. Still IMO 2X more that it should sell for.

I guess this card just became my most valuable card, this card was actually a throw in for buying a trimmed card from a guy. Pretty Good palyer to be named later:

Hard to believe a common can be the most valuable card when you have a T202 and T206 set minus the BIG 5.

I have said all along that low population reports on most cards can be very costly. As with Jay's card as proof. Doesn't show up in PSA reports. Who's to say that after similar owners of this card see the selling price that they will not;

1.) Submit an ungraded card of similar condition and sell

2.) Crossover similar condition cards graded by other
companies and sell

3.) Grade a card in higher condition and make this card no
longer the highest graded

A sudden population explosion would truely be a nightmare for this buyer. With the prices of Caramel cards rising, I'm sure many owners are contemplating cashing in on the price boom. Wouldn't it make sense that owners of low pop's will make the same decisions?

Good Points, Some people have this narrow view that graded cards are the only ones out there. By the way mine is staying in the SGC holder. One frustrating aspect of the SGC pop report for the T206 is how to get a pop report for a specific player and pose, not worrying about the backs. If anyone knows please email me.

Happy New Year

Lee

I think a lot of hard-working smart dealers and quais-dealers do just that.

Larry Mayer is the underbidder?? Larry is a dealer who would put it up on his website and never overpays for a card.

Spence, on the other hand, is one of the most if not the most aggressive bidder for vintage high-grade cards.

I didn't check the pop but this looks like a steal.

Truly a rare card and a tough card. Don must have one of the 7s or this would be a $2,500 card.

Yes Jim, Truely a rare card pop wise at the moment. But at least 2 board members have the same card also. My thoughts were that it might not be as rare as thought.

I thought one board member has an SGC 84, the other has an ungraded card - which may or may not grade as high as SGC 84.

Joe,

Key is there is nothing higher than a 7 out there that exists(at the current time).
