Default New Guy Intro

Just wanted to drop a note to the group to introduce myself to Net54. I know several of you from my 11 years in OBC. My name is Mark Holland and I have been actively collecting the "second time" since 1979. Fortunately my mom kept my original cards from my childhood giving me a good start on the 60s sets. I completely lost interest in newer sets and focus primarily on completing Topps sets from 55-71 and the 55 Bowman set in any condition. The only show that I go to is in Raleigh NC where I meet up with Net54's Taylor Schock.

Looking forward to looking through the various threads to further my fun and education of the hobby. One thing I will be looking for is information on the 69-70 Transogram set. It has been on my list for a few years and has never been hit. Nor have I seen any at shows. Is this because of scarcity or lack of interest?

Thanks to Leon for the mentoring in the registration process.

Mark

Welcome and you are welcome, Mark!! Thanks for being so polite too. It seems like a lost art.

Welcome, Mark!

As the expression goes, "If I knew you were coming, I would have baked a cake."

welcome aboard "the board" Mark! Chances are, if you spend enough time on this forum, you'll start liking pre-war cards a lot more than you ever thought...

Welcome! This is a great place. I'm somewhat new myself but have benefitted a ton from everyone's expertise, picked up a few stupendous cards from fellow members via our B/S/T areas, and have loved living vicariously through other collectors in the monthly Pickups threads.
