why list a "hot" card on ebay for 10 days, especially if you have a high reserve ? Nobody really bids on the card until the last hour or two anyways...whats the advantage/disadvantage for listing a "hot" card for 10 days instead of 3 ? any thoughts or am I just being greedy and wanting my money sooner ?

The more people mentally committ to buying your item, the more they will bid.

PETE - I run all my auctions 10 days. In limiting it to 3 or 5 days, you may find a potential bidder is away from his computer and misses your auction. All ya need is just 1 or more bumps and it will be worth the extra fee and time...jay

By listing it for 10 days you also give the potential buyer and extra few days to talk his wife into letting him buy it.

or you give the wife a few more days to talk the bidder out of buying it.

It is better to ask forgiveness than permission.

Besides, she's ****ed us out of enough money with bad stock picks in the past; I've got some serious credits in the expenditure bank...

I try and educate my wife about everything I add to my collection so that when I die she won't take it to the Goodwill. I'm actually hoping that my 4YO son will take up my interests and I can give it all to him someday.
