Default Old baseball pin - date and value?

Posted By: Richard

I bought this old baseball pin some time ago. It came from the same person who sold the Harry Wright CDV collection. Does anyone have any idea on the approximate date and value? It measures a hair under 1" across and has some crazing like you would see on, I think, iron?

There is a pin very similar to this in Kashmanian's Baseball Treasures book c1905 and he values it around $100. I would say if it is original, that is a pretty good estimate. It looks good to me, but there are many reproductions of this type of piece these days.

Here is a similar one. About $50-100 for that pin sound right.
