Default Need Help for Old Cardboard Article on Ullman Postcards

Posted By: Steve M.

I have been asked to do an article for Old Cardboard on the 1906 Ullman New York Giants postcard set. For the article I would like to give as much information as I can regarding the history of the set; the evolution of the checklist; population reports and the like. The 2006 Standard Catalogue lists 12 known. I have scans of the known 12 but if there are any uncatalogued examples I would like to see them. The following information of cards in your collection would be appreciated:

1. Identity
2. Color of the border
3. Postally used and if so date
4. Any other info you think might be interesting

No personal information about you will be used unless you specifically state that attribution is permitted.

For this project please email information to me at ullman1906@comcast.net

Thanks.

Steve Murray

Wow! It only took a day and a half for this post to fall to the middle of page 2. The post moved so fast down the page that I'm sure some of you serious postcard collectors have missed it. Therefore, I'm again asking for help on my project for Old Cardboard. Thanks.

I only have one, but need to dig it out to see if it is postmarked. In the mean time:

Matty Fitzgerald, brown colored border:

I do find it interesting that he was included in the set, since he played in only 11 games during his tenure with the Giants in 1906-07.
