davidcyclebackThe original art for heavyweight boxing champion Ezzard Charles’ 1950s Exhibit Supply Co. card with original letter from Exhibit’s President. Extensively hand painted and detailed photo mounted on heavy board, with the printer's instruction sheet affixed to the back. I forgot to measure it, but it’s about 9x7”. Comes with a hand signed letter from the President of The Exhibit Supply Co, giving a history of the Exhibit Supply and its art archives. This letter was from the company's sale of its art archives, and serves as provenance for this photo. Price is $215 shipped. Duly note that this price is significantly higher than I would charge for most other of the art, but as a piece of art is the finest from the collection and I wouldn't sell for less. For star boxing price comparison, I sold the Cassius Clay for $600 (to Ali specialist who had to have it), a Rocky Marciano for $200 and a partcularly aesthetic Rocky Graziano for $100. Making this Charles would be the second highest price from the collection- though none of the others came with a letter from the president.
