Default 1972 kellogg's grading question

Is PSA strict on these?

I have a few I want to send in, however the backs all seem to have white showing on the edges. Is this common and overlooked like the rough cuts on certain cards, or does it kill it?

As a big Kellogg's collector, I always buy the ones I want graded in graded form already so I don't know that I can help with your question.

However, the example you have shown has the typical minor to moderate curl. Those with curl are subject to cracking if placed in a holder which flattens them out completely. I have both experienced, seen, and talked with other collectors who have had it happen. Just a cautionary tale I guess, best of luck whichever route you take.

Based on the PSA 9's for sale on COMC, looks like the borders can have some white on them and still get Mint grades. However, I'm not sure what the return on investment would be by sending those in.

Thanks a lot. They seem to be doing better on eBay

I love and hate Kellogg Cards. I get a high graded card and then look at it a few months later and it has cracks on it. I'm about done with these cards, always replacing cards that I thought were mint.

I agree with Mike. I collect them only in raw form. They are less expensive and as such when they crack it's less frustrating. I purchased a number of PSA 9s that cracked in their slab after they were in my collection less than a year. It seems that the 1970 and 1975 sets crack the most.
