Was it completely unprovoked? That doesn't sound like something Dan would do without provocation. Did you offer him a refund?

Dan is a great guy and I think this post should be removed. You should sort this out in another way. This is not the right wat to go about things.

Robert,

This transaction is almost two months old, and worth less than $10 including shipping. Either give him shipping info or refund him his $10.

It shouldn't be a big deal for anybody.

(That said, I'm fighting an Ebay seller for insisting on charging $15 for overnight shipping. She then waited 5 days to actually ship and then sent it Fedex 2-day. I'm being a pain in the ass to her also.)

Yikes, life is too short for either side to get excited about a $10 and discuss it publicly here.

settle it elsewhere please.

Well I'd feel bad about keeping the money if I sold a card that I never got into the hands of the buyer. Refund the buyer the money, and move on.

The only injury that does harm is one that is remembered...

or words pretty close to that.

Robert, you're not very clear in your writing...are you saying that his emails went into your Spam file and you didn't even know there was a problem until Dan had already gotten increasingly angry?

If so, it sounds like just a misunderstanding between you two.

I agree I should have let it go and sent a refund which I usually do , after all it was only $10 , but once I was pretty much deep into the insult Emails I became stubborn . My fault . God , as much as I hate to do this , someone who wants me to die will get $10 . Although it might be in Carlos Baerga rookie cards .

It sounds like an unfortunate situation. I don't know Robert and don't think I've dealt with him before, on the other hand have had quite a few deals with Dan and consider him to be a pretty nice guy. He has helped me out with some scans in the past, and has given me some insight on some different type cards...very knowledgeable.

I do think going off memory Dan has been screwed by folks a few times..he seems to have luck like that. Maybe that would be the reason for the short fuse...but I still would think he is pretty reasonable and this could/should be worked out rather easily.

Sounds like R thinks he owes D the $10.

But that R isn't paying because how D has acted.

Sounds like D acted the way he did, if he did, because of the runaround and delay over the $10, and not because the $10 wasn't going to be paid.

R is in control of that delay... starting this thread is part of it.

R, pay the $10. You've done more than $10 damage to yourself already with this thread. And further delay and postings will only add to your problems.

I am going to end this right here , right now . I apologized to Dan and hope he accepts . I sold a somewhat shady card which I thought was clearly stated . He hated the whole idea of the card which I understand . I think we were both jerky in our responses . The card was sent and long lost in the mail . Will send a refund and hope we meet at a Cleveland show . Again , SORRY DAN !

Ah this is me! I won a $10 card from this guy. Read his feedback, all excellent except my comment. I didn't post anything here as I believe the board has enough of this crap on it already. Anyways, I pay him, he leaves feedback and I never receive the card. No package or anything. I write a million times and even called and talked to his Mother who was very nice and I left a message for him to call back. Now, 35 days later, no return email or phone call, I left feedback and filed a dispute through ebay. No response to the dispute, no communication whatsoever. So yes, I sent some very nasty emails to see if I could get any kind of response. I finally did just recently. He writes that he enjoyed keeping my $10 SWEET. And that I was welcome to defend myself on the board. It isn't the $10, it is the principle. I do not like being stolen from! No matter what the amount.

Now this all could have been avoided if he would have just wrote me and said he shipped it, showed me the white receipt from the post office with Freeland MD on it, and it is on me at that point for sending cash. I would have then paid again. But no communication at all and he was obviously ducking me. A 650 rating, all positive and I just don't get it.

Most of you know me and yes I wrote some things that were pretty nasty but hey, it did get me a response and this great post on the board!

In closing he wrote last night stating he wants to drop it by keeping my $10 and the card that as far as I am concerend, he never shipped. Or he can scan the receipt here or email me a scan and explain why you didn't write me back, call or respond to the ebay dispute, and we can have closure. Packages can get lost in the mail.

It could have been a goofy color variation so my guess is someone saw I won it and offered him more and he just thought by ignoring me that I would go away.

If he truly shipped it, why not just tell me that in the beginning?

Sincerely,
Dan Mckee

Whoa! I just read this thread all the way through! Robert, please be completely honest when you post trash like this. I didn't post this feud as it shouldn't be here. But I do owe you an immediate apology! I stated I talked to your Mother but it was your wife? I am sorry for that. Anywho, she was very nice and all I said was that I purchased something from you on ebay and to have you call me. Your posts make it sound like I attacked her. not so at all, I was very nice and so was she and I would appreciate you making that clear. You also wrote that you sold a bad card??? I never saw it, never heard from you and didn't think it was shipped. You didn't answer me until last night for the first time! These board members know me well and yes I am rough around the edges but I do not go off for no reason at all.

Produce the white postal receipt with Freeland MD on it and keep the $10, that is on me for sure at that point.

Or send me my $10 back like you could have done if you sold the card elsewhere or never shipped it.

That would have worked as well

What doesn't work is keeping the card and the $10

Now if I read your one post correctly above, you sent me $10 last night and are apologizing?

The only real thing I see that you did wrong was NOT COMMUNICATED with me in anyway until now.

This post doesn't bother me, what does bother me is that you implied I harrassed your wife when that wasn't even close to what happened. I called her over a month after the sale and she was very nice, I thought for sure I would have heard from you after that.

Sincerely,
Dan Mckee
