Default The Cracker Jack Collection Book Arrived

Just got my Cracker Jack book this morning in the mail. I haven't had time to spend much time with it, but it looks very nicely done. Seems to be in the same format as their T206 book with a brief write up on each of the players. There was also a Babe Ruth card mailed with the book which was a nice touch. Good way to kick of the National Convention week!

I was wondering if the Babe's birth year is incorrect on that card since at that time he didn't know the correct year? A fun "error" if they did that.

I ordered the book months ago from this web site: http://www.crackerjackplayers.com/

I do believe that PSA is selling it at the National or giving it to you if you become a member or renew your current membership.

thinking about renewing my PSA membership early just so I can get the book. I really enjoyed the T206 book. It's nice to have a backstory for each card/player as I didn't get to see them play.

It's nice to see that Tom and his daughter, Ellen, have made another great reference book. Dave.

Does anyone know if the book will be available on through Barnes & Noble? That is where I bought the T206 book?

I have a ton of gift cards I need to use!

Just an FYI - PSA is NOT selling this book at the National, the only way to receive a book at the National is to purchase a PSA membership for $110. PSA also had no further information on how to buy the book. Also, be prepared to either wait in line or fight thru the enormous line of people wanting their cards slabbed to see the CJs they have on display.

Here is what I can tell you about what I know about the distribution of the book. I ordered one a few months ago from the previously mentioned web site. My book came early this week with a mouse pad and an unslabed Ruth CJ fantasy card that had advertising on the back (Memory Lane). Today while I was at the PSA table I renewed my PSA membership for another year. I was given a brief case that contained a Cracker Jack book, an SMR magazine, and another Ruth CJ card that (to my surprise) is slabed. The flip says card 498 of 500 and the back of the card is numbered 177 and has an upside down bio of Ruth in the style of original CJ cards.
