Default OT: It feels good

Just want to say it feels good to say:

"Cubs tied for first place."

I love it!

Hey Leon, delete if you want... not a big deal.

Happy hunting in Cleveland,

Let's keep this thread...let Cub fans crow for a little while...they won't be in first long.

Peter,

Don't be so sure. The Cubs are the hottest team in baseball since June 3. They have a solid hitting team.
Stranger things have happend.

Long suffering Cub fans deserve a winner.

Go Go White Sox

Congrats. Now if you can keep that damn Billy goat in his barn 'til October. Wouldn't a Fenway/Wrigley series be a hoot.

*Sox in five games.

I would love to se the Red Sox play the Cubs. Did the Cubs get anyone before the trade deadline?

No pick ups at the deadline, other than Kendall a few weeks prior.

Kerry Wood returns to the bullpen on Friday. Eddie Vedder sings the 7th inning stretch on Friday.

A buddy of mine sent me an email saying that on August 1st, 1984, the Cubs beat the Phillies 5-4 on a walk off to move into first place. They never relinquished that lead. Same thing happened yesterday too.

Eddie Vedder is a huge cub fan. Met him at fantasy camp several times. Will add to the general euphoria of Cubs in first place. Cubs rock!!!!!

Pearl Jam played a killer show at the Vic last night in Chicago. Tiny venue, all Pearl Jam.

Eddie did a solo preset of four songs, one of which is being called the Chicago Cubs song. It's pretty cool too.

Big weekend with the Mets. Hill, Marshall, Ohman and Dempster haven't been helping lately. Wood will take over for some and I wouldn't be surprised if Dempster is relieved from the closer role. Howry and Marmol are just more consistent.

Watch for the Cubs to add a Right Fielder during the waiver deadline too.

Actually, Eddie debuted to song you talked about at the Cubs Fantasy camp and gave the Guitar he played to Randy Hundley. It was touching.
