Default A hobby return-- thanks are in order

Some of you may recall that dozens of cards were stolen from my home in a burglary more than five years ago. Most of those were recovered, miraculously, and the burglar was convicted. One of the few that remained lost popped up on ebay a little more than a week ago, with a seller from right here in Phoenix. Long story short, I got it back, and I want to thank those that made the card's return a reality, specifically:

1. Mike Wheat, who provided me an old receipt to show when I originally purchased the card in 2000;
2. Brian Dwyer and the folks at SGC, who provided receipt information from when I submitted the card for grading so long ago;
3. Phoenix PD, for their suggestions and willingness to act if I could not get satisfaction on my own; and,
4. C&C Coins, the seller and a local business of 2-3 generations, whose people were very understanding and who, upon reviewing my "evidence", agreed to return the card.

I now have back my very own Hoblitzell no stats

Hey Jay!!! I know it has been a few years. I have been reading everyday and still collecting but family and work have been crazy (in a very good way) for the past three years and those two things (in that order) come first. How are things with you? I will send you a PM.

Good for you and for the PD. The editors of the Phoenix News should be directed here.

Thanks guys. I wouldn't wish a burglary on anyone, but this one turned out better than most. I'm really impressed by and grateful for all the help I received.

Very nice to hear that one of these stories has a happy ending. So many of the theft ones don't. Kudos to those who helped you out as well. I've never dealt with Mike Wheat, but Brian Dwyer is top notch. Not surprising that he came through for you. Thanks for sharing your good news!
