Are you sure? Does the ignore list work on "the voices?"

What's that, Jim? You're breaking up. I can't hear you.

Default ...voices...

"You hear that, Jim's hearing voices out in the fields."
- If you build it... -

By the way, Jim, nothing works on the voices. they never stop. Mine keep saying "Bid again! Bid! Bid again!"

Ray, people will come Ray. They'll come to Iowa for reasons they can't even fathom. They'll turn up your driveway not knowing for sure why they're doing it. They'll arrive at your door as innocent as children, longing for the past. Of course, we won't mind if you look around, you'll say. It's only $20 per person. They'll pass over the money without even thinking about it: for it is money they have and peace they lack. And they'll walk out to the bleachers; sit in shirtsleeves on a perfect afternoon. They'll find they have reserved seats somewhere along one of the baselines, where they sat when they were children and cheered their heroes. And they'll watch the game and it'll be as if they dipped themselves in magic waters. The memories will be so thick they'll have to brush them away from their faces. People will come Ray. The one constant through all the years, Ray, has been baseball. America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But baseball has marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Ray. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again. Oh... people will come Ray. People will most definitely come.

Default My sincerest apologies...

Being a relative newcomer to net54 (and to collecting vintage cards as well), all I can do is to echo the many positive aspects of this forum that were brought up by the posters before me.

With that said (and especially in light of the recent turn of events here), I feel like this is the right place to send out apologies to the following:

To Chicago206 -
I am sorry if my post from a few days ago in another thread had any bearing in your decision to sell your T206 back set and to question your continuance in the hobby. You were able to accomplish something that deserved to be commended. I was in fact going to congratulate you on the completion of your back set - until I happened upon your comments from another forum.

I was confused by the contradiction in that post, and without knowing your reasoning behind it, I rushed out and brought that information here - not realizing the firestorm that it would create - and for that I again apologize.

Now that your set is in the process of being sold, I hope that you are able to recoup all the money you've invested in it. I also hope that you won't let the comments of some alleged "D-bags" (myself included) keep you from getting back into this great hobby.

To Leon, the Mods, and the rest of the net54 folk -
I am sorry for dragging the dirty laundry from another forum into here; there is no need to add any more to the pile. I will refrain from adding those types of posts in the future, and will focus on contributing in a more positive manner.

Sincerely,
Tom S.
