I know it's not Memorial Day or Veteran's Day, but in honor of the most famous former ballplayer buried at Arlington:

Someone needs to post cards of RED Faber, Doc WHITE, and Lu BLUE.

That's what I thought of when I saw the thread.

Here's a card from 1888 w/ American flag of a great American John Adams
who died on July 4 (1826) the same day & year that his friend & rival died, Thomas Jefferson.

Made this one a few months ago, and it seems to fit this topic. Although not prewar, and not baseball, this thread needs an All-American card in it.

Ok, not cards but fitting.
1930's-40's Braves warmup jacket

And a bike made for the US 1984 olympic cycling team. Possibly used in the team time trial for bronze. They made 12 and used 4 so the odds are decent on actual use. It was raced worldwide after that.

Rhett requested Red Faber and since Doc White and Lu Blue have already been posted, I'll put up Faber along with Red Ames and Jo Jo White. Anyone have Red Killefer?

This 1955 Double Header of Rip Repulski isn't exactly pre-war, but it's about as red, white and blue as a card can get. Happy Fourth of July!
