Default Newspaper cuts from 1800s?

So, I love card collecting and always wanted a card for a particular non-famous player… there aren’t many old judge cards that exist for this player but a newspaper cut from the 1800s can be found from time to time. I have always been one for buying graded set cards, but was wondering if anyone knows anything about old newspaper cuts? Thanks to all and happy collecting!

Are you referring to the Harper's Weekly woodcuts?

The Harpers woodcuts are pretty good looking, and a good way to get some of the 19th century HOFers. There's a thread or two about them on here somewhere.

I think he might be referring to newspaper articles about players.

Default Pittsburgh Bulletin

It was a Pittsburgh bulletin black boarder oddball, apparently 18 players were in the cutout oddball set (at least noted in the post).
