I don't know the answer to your question, but if you decide to sell it, I would be interested.

Try 1957 PCL Popcorn

Lasorda pitched for the Pacific Coast League LA team in 1957

It looks like the set was from 1975 and was produced with images from 1957-58 PCL players. The set is called 1975 Ed Broder.

1975 Ed Broder (1957 PLC Popcorn) #68 Tommy Lasorda

Thanks. Were they all 1974's or are there originals too?

From what I can gather Ed Broder produced a few different sets in the 1970's depicting 1950's and 60's PCL players. I don't think there was an "original" set from 1957.

I doubt Ed (hi Ed) Broder has seen this thread. He is a board member and has been on the forum today. He may not see this thread though. He rarely posts.

They got it right.

PCL Popcorn set from 1975, set of 235 cards. This is a somewhat tougher to find collectors issue from the 1970’s that was not based on any contemporary set. Made to be somewhat reminiscent of the regional PCL issues of the late 1940’s to 1950’s and given the name to resemble the Vancouver/Seattle popcorn sets of the 1950’s. Neat set of cards, I have a set of them and find myself looking through them from time to time. You can often find singles on eBay but don’t recall seeing a set for sale in a while.
