Just in time for Christmas.

And special thanks to Joe D. Not just for trading this card to me on very fair terms, but for going through a lot of effort to track this package down. He sent it out first thing in the morning on December 18th by Express (overnight) Mail. I just got it this morning and had to pick it up myself from the post office.

I don't usually gripe about the post office. But they've earned two big thumbs down on this occassion.

Now maybe Joe can tell me how he was able to make such a high quality scan of this card in the B/S/T. My scans of cards inside holders always come out blurry.

I just thought the Snodgrass "Orange" was too cool to pass up.

An early gift from my wife brings me up to 90 cards toward the set... I have always thought the Davis to be among the more attractive cards in the set. Are there any other players that have the first initial listed in from of their last name?

Mordecai Brown and George Brown are two other players that I can think of with their first initial displayed.

Is it just your scanner or that an Orange Cobby Dave? Either way it's a beauty and if I collected Cobb cards exclusively I'd put the Orange T206 variation as a must have...even though I know many collectors just consider it a printing flaw.

No, it's red-my scanner is a little off I think. The back has some paper loss so it's PSA 1 but about the nicest 1 I've seen. It's cracked out now so it doesn't matter I am allegedly only the third owner of this card-the original owner, who had it for many, many decades, the consignor and then me. No way to prove it but pretty cool.

Jim T,

A few more T206's with first initials come to mind:

A.O. (Dutch) Jordan
F. Clarke
J.J. (Nig) Clarke
F. Smith

enjoy the card! It is a beauty and one I will miss.

(I would also like to point out to the board that Paul was awesome to do a transaction with)

as far as the scanning.... I don't know - the blurriness looks like what would happen if you try to blow up the image (increase its size) after you scan it. Whenever you resize UP after scanning - an image gets blurry. I would suggest increasing your DPI of your scan and do not resize it after scannning (if that is what has happened). Either that or it is time to buy a new scanner

The Brooklyn version of this card is a lot tougher than you may think. At least it's been tough for me.

This Lloyd Waner also just arrived.

Thanks to Dave F. and Ben F. (who traded it to Dave but was kind enough to let him know that I might be interested in the card if he were to sell it).

Martin,

I just noticed PSA mislabeled your t205 Chase as the Border Extends variation. I think those little flip mistakes are a neat curiostity so I just wanted to mention it in case you hadn't noticed. Nice card by the way.

Thanks,

Andy

Martin, I owned that Chase recently -- and recognize it due to the error on the flip.
