Default Any information on this bat?

Posted By: Ben

I purchased this bat a few years ago on eBay but don't really know much about it. I was hoping someone could tell me an approximate date and value. It's a Spalding and it says SOCKER towards the end of the barrel.

Thanks,
Ben

Without any information on its dimensions (length, diameter, weight), it is from the 40's-50's, based on the label. The Socker model was often seen in youth bats. Can you give data on the bat?

Sorry I forgot to include specs. The bat measures 31" long and 6" in diameter (at thickest point).

Ben,

Your bat is a softball bat, youth model from the 1940's most likely. Nice condition. Value wise, there's not much demand for softball bats, unless they have an unusual label or they are very early model(e.g., indoor bats).
