Default Didn't Take Long for Mastro Collection Reprints to Appear on Ebay

See the auction item below

http://cgi.ebay.com/Pittsburgh-Pirat...item3a61644146

Color copy of the example that was just in the Bill Mastro collection. You can see the same punch holes as the one on the Legendary site. Problem is that Bill's had holes and what you see on the ebay example is not a hole but the matting that was behind the hole since Bill had his framed.

Also, there is a vertical crease on Bill's. You can see barely see the same crease on the top border on the ebay example. Also, Bill's had a small spot of wear under the "p" in "package" Same small spot of white on the ebay example.

At least they offer free shipping

This is the same seller who had the 1924 and 1958 Negro League banners for sale. The ones that looked like the 1927 Babe Ruth banner and which were discussed on this board in other threads.

Oh yeah, if you look at his Feed Back, he has sold reprint Ty Cobb cards and fake Babe Ruth Kaywoodie drink signs.

The Colgan's sign is currently at $1,001 dollars. When will people learn?

Final price $1136. Hard to believe so many people are so gullable... especially when the sellers mark these auctions as "private".

This one was so transparent. Makes you wonder when ebay will finally start to intervene the way they do with bogus autographs. This kind of thing is such a trajedy for the hobby...

Ebay loses big dough if they were a responsible company, sooo.

And the buyer is aware this item is counterfeit.

I'm not so sure that the winning bidder knows that. To knowingly pay over $1,100 for a fake is extremely risky, and is insane IMO.

There have been dozens of similar fakes like the "Fans for a Fan" and the Ty Cobb Easel-back displays. And the most they ever seem to go for is $500, give or take a few...

Hopefully this means someone who knew it was a fake put in a bid like $1 million, with no intention to pay? I hope that's the case!
