I am quite sure SGC has slabbed this cut 4 in 1 exhibit card as a W517 mini.

I've had/sold mini W517's that were this color (none of Gehrig, Klein and Grove though). Wish we had a better scan!

Mike, if they didn't have the dashes on top or bottom, they were probably cut exhibits. The red used by the W517s is much lighter. Dan.

on the Grove and Klein (bottom for both). The reddish color looked real close to the card in the link...like I said, I wish there was a better scan. On a side note, just got the Edwards catalog...some tasty material!

Take care,

Mike

Agreed Mike! Robby is getting what little money I have! And all of iton 1 particular lot! I will have a tough opponent but he actually makes it exciting to bid.

that the Gehrig pose used in most or all of the 4-in-1 Exhibits is a swinging pose where he's following through. I know I've seen one like that at least-- but I sure wouldn't pay $500 to this seller for this card....

There are 2 portrait shots on exhibits on page 133 of the 2004 catalog, these are a different portrait but this same portrait is used in the 1929-30 set that comes in several funky colors on the previous page. Dan.
