Hello - New to Net54Baseball

My name is Robert Slatkin. This is my first post on net54baseball. It’s great to be able to communicate with all of you.

I have been collecting and involved in sports memorabilia for about 30 years, and specifically involved in photos for over 20 years. I am sure I have met some of you either online or at shows.

Rather than start a new post, I would like to welcome Robbie and introduce myself. I'm Kyle, new to net54 and have been collecting for approx 30 of my 38 years. I was fortunate to have an uncle who was a professional sports broadcaster in the Mid-Atlantic area for both TV and Radio. I had no choice to become a sports fan/collector and have had the bug for a long time. I collect mostly memorabilia/photos and advertising pcs along with vintage hockey equip. I've been lucky to have had the experiences growing up in the hobby and love reading your posts/wealth of knowledge here. Thanks for taking the time to share our hobby and allow me to learn...

Hi Kyle. This is Robbie...the other new guy. Are you in Baltimore? I am in Northern Virginia. I grew up playing third base because that's what Brooks did.

Thanks for the kind welcome Al. As soon as I learn how to post photos I may post a photo or two. Until then, it will just be me, and if I can add anything of value to the conversations. Thanks again.

I'm in NW New jersey. My family is from Baltimore and they grew up a couple blocks from memorial stadium-sneaking into games, etc.. Just a fan, unfortunately of the birds.....

Welcome to the board Robbie. A little help on posting photos - what I do is upload to a free photobucket account, then copy the url of the photo, click on the little Insert Image icon in the net54 post screen (it is the little mountain landscape icon), and paste the url in there, and that should do it.
there are other ways to do it, but thats what I do.

Hi Steve F. (Ladder7). What would you like to see posted? Do you collect anything in particular? I love seeing the photo collection of Mr. King of Clout, and I would be happy to post some items too. But it probably won't be that often because I do not have that large of a collection, and I am much more interested in learning and sharing my knowledge than displaying my collection.
