Default Questionable PSA Labels

Is this card/ seller (vintagerookies) legit? The font on the PSA label looks unusual to me, plus there is no grade on the slab (should say '9')!!

I won this '68 Johnny Bench RC and looks like the same funny looking font on the PSA label. Thank you!!

Real PSA slabs likely from the early 90's

Agreed. That font was used on the first generation of PSA labels.

Is there a source that shows the different PSA and SGC labels through the years? I've looked but haven't found any.

Huh? What is normal about that Montana flip? Looks as fake as fake gets to me.

First off, it has no number grade. PSA's whole deal was their proprietary 1-10 scale right from the start. I've never seen a PSA flip without a number.

Secondly the red color along the top inside is wavy...like it was sloppily and cheaply faked.

Third, the letters in the print of the Montana are missing lots of black ink...like a cheap printer or a shoddy copy.

I would not pay a penny for that Montana in that holder. The flip screams fake. (No opinion on the card, but why risk buying a graded card when the slab has so many warning signs?)

And by the way, I'd appreciate it if people would stop linking that CU post that plagiarized the work I did on this very Board to benefit our N54 members. It pisses me off that this guy's outside thread keeps getting linked here when my original work was posted here from the start. A search on this Board will turn up my thread that this guy later borrowed liberally from without any proper credit. I assume that is one reason why that guy's thread was zapped from CU.

See this thread: http://net54baseball.com/showthread....ight=psa+flips

Cheers,
Blair
