Default Ebay - A stand up seller

I guy on ebay was selling a T206 Johnson hands at chest reprint as an original. I pointed out that the lettering was wrong and it was an obvious reprint. The seller researched the issue, emailed me back and removed the listing. He said that he was interested in pre-war so I recommended that he join the board. I will be interested to see if he does.

I just thought it should be pointed out that there are good people out there.

There are far, far more good ones than bad ones. The bad ones get all the press. Thanks for the post.

I agree. There are definitely more honest ones out there than we like to admit.

I had one of the most pleasant ebay seller experiences back in November. Purchased a 1939 Wheaties Centennial Panel(the curveball one with Candy Cummings), for something like $10, in June. 2 days later, I get a refund and a message stating that they simply couldn't find the item. But if they did, they'd send it to me free... Yeah, OK. I'm completely understanding of the first part, but after a month or so I assumed I'd never see the item. No biggie, it happens.

Well, sometime in November, I get this random package. Which surprised me because, I wasn't expecting anything. To be completely honest, I got into a little trouble with the wife, because I wasn't supposed to buying anything before Christmas...(She didn't quite buy the story). But the seller stayed true to their word. Here, 5 months later, the seller still remembered, and sent it out when they found it.

Just wanna throw some love out there to seller chandyg6p81, for being one of the good ones, and proving that there some honest people out there in ebay land...

Good story, David.

I once had a seller tell me that he "lost" the item I won, but he never offered anything other than the excuse...which is hard to buy. Even if it is a legit excuse, it's tough to accept. I'm glad to hear that the seller was genuine and followed through with their word...thanks for sharing!

Just like with the news, where you only tend to hear the bad things people do, and not enough about the really wonderful things that so many kind-hearted people do. For every punk ass media darling like Justin Bieber, there are 100 other people feeding the homeless on weekends, or volunteering at an animal shelter, getting no recognition.

Good on this seller. I hope they do join.
