Most random first post I have seen on here.

For the poll takers, I don't have one.

I think we all should have a life sized cut out of this guy when we are trying to sell a less common card.

I just got off of the phone with the OP. I couldn't have written a more classic Craigslist story. However, there is an auction company going out to see him. One I guess he has contacted.. Good luck to all..

Well, I got scans and lo and behold there was a Butter Cream Ruth a W514 Jackson......do I need to go on?

and the auction company probably won't be going to see him....as they are an advertiser and I just forwarded the scans.

Leon,

Just curious, but based on the scans you saw, did the fake Wash Times card of Cobb look somewhat legit to an untrained eye? I never saw a fake Washington Times card, just wondering how good did it look?

The scans weren't great but you could tell that card was very grainy. All of the cards I saw, maybe 10-20, were poor reprints. There was one actor strip card, full strip, that I couldn't be for positive on. If real it could be $25+....but since everything else wasn't good, I doubt it.
