Default April Pick-Ups

I’ll start...

Been a very long time since I have picked up anything for my ‘56 collection - been mostly on a ‘60s star kick lately. Minoso is not a HOF’er but was an important figure in the game just the same...and this card is a beauty for a 6.

In other news, hey! Baseball is back! Enjoy...

It's too bad he never quite won an MVP. Then we'd have a Minnie mini!

Great looking Minnie card! I have noticed, at least his 52 Topps RC has really taken off lately.
Maybe not reflective of all his current sales, but this one surprised me.

Very nice!

I'd also be glad with those grades too.

Well done.

My second ever high number purchase. I was glad to see this 2 looks much nicer in hand than it did in the seller's scans.

I would assume this is an early Beckett graded card?
(I will be cracking this one out too as I detest the inner baggies)

Default Bvg

I don't think it is an early Beckett (BVG) card. Early Becketts used colored labels to show the grade (for example, a gold label was used for a BVG 8) and the subs were displayed on the back of the label.

I just received this card today. With the addition of this card I now need two cards to complete the set in PSA 8 or higher. One of them is on eBay.

I haven't previously been one to buy Authentic cards, but the price to eye appeal ratio here was just too good to pass up, as a Mays this nice would otherwise simply be out of my range. This completes my First-Ballot Post-War HOF Rookie set, and leaves me two shy of the full post-war rookie set (Mathews and Paige).

Thanks for the kind words, guys. I’ve been assuming that it’s whatever is going on with the black on the left border. It’s also a little small, though, so who knows.

Yeah, to me it kind of looks like someone took an eraser to the left border. Overall, that's one of the best looking "authentics" that I've seen. You done good.

Thank you Dale.....it may seem close, but yet it is quite far, there are still many ebay bucks reward periods to go to finish this set. Patience is the key for me.

Looks like you also had some nice pickups here recently on your 52s....you should be getting close on the 310 and below portion of this set. Great eye appeal on the Hi# Stock card too.

I am getting there but I still need some big cards like, Berra, Martin, Pafko and Rizzuto. I have been trying for a Hodges lately as well but I'm not having much luck there either.

Surprisingly, the Stock card is a great card for a 2. Thanks. I am pretty happy with that purchase which makes me wish I went after some of the other high# cards the seller was selling.

These arrived today. The Fleer Jackson is an upgrade for my set. I used eBay bucks to pay 2/3 of the cost of the 65 Mays.

The '54 Topps is my favorite set, but mine is nowhere near those NM cards. Very nice pick ups.

Picked this up a few weeks ago .... now I just need a 1960 Spic and Span Aaron to take a well needed spring/summer break

Very nice, Neal.

I just received these Friday and like you, I think it's time for a break. With my last 3 purchases, which were multiple cards, I have been stung with duty fees.

I occasionally had to pay, maybe 1 in 10-15 purchases, but being hit up with my last 3 purchases in a row, I'd say they now have their eye on me.

Very, very happy with this new arrival. Paid up a lot for the grade. Description had said tiny wrinkle R corner accounted for the grade. I can't find it with a loupe and I've looked hard
