Anyone pick anything up from the 19Century Only Auction? It was nice to wake up this morning to find out I picked up the T206 Cobb w/ Lenox back.

Hi Brian,
Nice addition to your collection of Cobb's. That Cobb has been around the block a few times, and has been owned by at least 3-4 members of this board. I'm glad to see it ended up in your Cobb heaven hoard.

Be well Brian

PS How many backs are you missing now?

I am aware of the history of this particular Lenox Cobb and came close to acquiring it last year from a board member.

It fills yet another hole in my collection and it will fit nicely. I'm still in need of a Drum, Uzit and Hindu. Obviously, the Hindu will be the easiest and least expensive of the three to acquire but I have not seen one on the market in the last two years.

always the bridesmaid, never the bride. High Bidder on the e90-2 Wagner for the 15 days leading up to the final day. I thought I had bid a fair price, and believed it could very well be mine, but someone decide to go that extra bid on the last day. I just could not justify paying $7,700 for it (the next bid). I haven't won a card of significance since REA.

I was working on one of the e104's and had to drive down state for the UofM football game today and blew a tire on the road , so I missed out on the end of the auction. Congrats on the Ty Cobb though!

The Sugar Ray Robinson autographed PC. My 2nd Sugar Ray auto'd card. Nice to get something for well under what it usually sells for.

Hi Brian,
I wouldn't be so sure about the Hindu being that much cheaper, because I have seen more Uzit back Cobb's than Hindu's...

Good luck Brian

The brown Hindu may sell for 2/3 the price of a Uzit if you can even find them. The last Uzit Cobb SGC 40 sold for $11,500.00. I would think a brown Hindu would cost you $7K-$8K and a red Hindu would cost you double that. If you are interested in a Uzit Cobb, email me. I picked up an e92 Croft's with a blue back. I think they are very attractive.

Hi Peter,
I have seen the following Cobb's with Hindu backs

Bat on shoulder Brown Hindu
Green Portait Brown Hindu

In theory:
Red Background
Bat Off

Both should be available with Red Hindu backs, but I have never seen one. I have seen several of each with Uzit's.
Red Background
Bat Off

Be well Brian

Yes, I have seen/held the red Hindu (PSA 4) and it is awesome. Super tough card to say the least.

Hi Dan,
Which REA auction are you talking about? There was a Uzit 40 Cobb in the last one, but not a Red Hindu. LMK Brian
