Default Show Your Ruth Exhibits

Most Ruth Exhibits languished in value for years...they could be had for $4-500 in nice shape for most issues...until maybe a year ago.

These rarer oversized cards have finally earned some respect...prices are way up. I've always loved how clean Babe's uni is on this 25er.

Lets see em!

i think it was at the first baltimore national when i saw that signed ruth at a dealer's table and immediately started calculating how i could come up with the money to buy it. i left the table, walked around thinking, figured out how i could to it and went back to the table to find it sold. not sure if you were the buyer, but if you were congratulations. always have regretted that 30 minutes.

well, all of mine have already been covered except this:

So I figure I might as well add some exhibit-like cards:

Default Ruth Exhibit

There were a couple 1926-29 Ruth (pose) Exhibits floating around for sale this spring. I think an SGC 80 and a PSA something. Anyone know if they sold and how much?

Eric, there are 7 known specimens of that card (not to be confused with the 1921 with the same image), and 3 are authentic. SGC has graded 2 and PSA has graded 5. I would say that owning a pop 7 Ruth is awesome regardless of the condition. Plus, your main image looks great.

Yea, I love it and am just happy to have one. I doubt there is even 7 graded copies. I've seen one 1921 before that was mislabeled, not sure if it was ever fixed and suspect that could have happened with PSA too, plus potential crossovers and re-submissions.

Believe I have the only SGC 80. Floated it in the spring but was happy not to sell it.

It's still undervalued in my opinion. That should be a 5-figure card. Had my PSA 5 up forever on the BST at like 3500 and no one wanted it. I sold it, but I don't understand how it isn't worth 4 times that.
