Brian, I love this image. In case you weren't sure, it was taken at Whittington Park in Hot Springs, Ark, in 1909 (who am I kidding --you already knew that). I had previously tried to identify the fourth individual, but never considered Harry Swacina as a possibility. Thanks for the sharing.

Not sure if it's a sweater, or a warm-up jacket on Cobb ?

Must of been a cold day in 1910, when this card of Hugh Duffy was produced.

Here in Pennsy, it is a mighty cold day. And, today's "umpteenth" snowfall is
expected to pile 10 inches of snow on mounds of snow already on the ground.

Very funny!

Believe it or not the cards " with" sweater are in the vast minority within the Zeenut series, it just goes to show how many cards they produced... To bad they weren't as comprehensive out East, lots of Major Leaguers were featured on far fewer cards!

I guess this fits in with "Ball Player in sweater". At the 2012 National, Babe Ruth's sweater. SCP had it on display.

Seeing the sweaters on Ruth and DeVormer in front of the old Majestic Hotel was wonderful. I hate to tell all of you guys up north but I mowed my grass here in Hot Springs yesterday for the first time this season!

I hate being a jerk here, but anyone else notice that the sweater on display has five buttons while the picture of Ruth in a sweater has six buttons on that sweater.

It's worthless now. Maybe they should cut it up and put it in as inserts

Default 1921 Boston Braves Panoramic Photo with Sweaters!

Hi All.......just picked this up on ebay to add to my ever growing (it seems), Boston Braves collection.(and that is weird because my main interest is the Giants, but I did discover a lot of Giants-Braves connection at this time, esp when Judge Fuchs owned the team, and I think visually, their uniforms are really cool from 1900-to 1939)
I knew going in that condition was rough, but the image is still a great one I think. I'm going to have it framed and it will be a great addition on the Boston Braves area in the baseball room. I was very happy to see, amoung others , the image of Hank Gowdy, posing proudly as a Brave!
The lighting wasn't great today so I hope my photos are good enough to view.
The seller dealt with me in the price so I feel it was something I could not pass up.the people in the background are really interesting as well. Enjoy! Mike
