Default T206 cobb real?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/WOW-1909-T20...item2c89072110

The back looked a bit odd to me.

Definitely not real. The lettering on the front name is wrong and the back is the wrong color.

13 bids... wow

Your instincts were correct, though the front gave it away in a millisecond. The font, color, size, wear are all indicators that this is an artificially distressed reprint.

I love this quote:

Quote:
To answer everyone's question that I get all the time. Why didn't you get it graded. Well it would be a waste of time because I know it will grade poor. If I purchase a card graded I sale it graded. If I purchase one ungraded I sell it ungraded. Plus I don't like paying to have a card graded.

Nice bidding history by the current high bidder: 53 total bids spread among six different items, and a 100 percent bid activity with the seller.

I was looking at that also. The 2 you can still view both look as fake as the T206.

Den, check the backs gallery at T206RESOURCE.com. You can see what the real backs should look like. The Sweet Caps only come in red. And they all have the Factory number, District and State at the bottom.
Hope this helps.

You guys are overlooking the very nice case. Would a counterfeiter use that nice of a case for a fake? I think not.

You're totally right. Case unreported. I'm bidding $800 right now...what a case!
