Default help with this 1910 E91-C card

Posted By: Dave

I won it on ebay, for $46.50, does it look like a decent buy? I have no experience with E cards, but was very curious to get it. Does anybody with knowledge on this series have an idea what it might grade from PSA? a 2 maybe? I cant even find anywhere a SMR price for this card series, I guess just not common enough?

Card is in fairly nice shape, but Unglaub is a common player. In many eyes, the E91 set is the ungliest and least liked of the major vintage sets. Its all because of the generic (fake) drawings. That particular drawing will also be used for a couple other players in the set, with only the team name changed on uniform.

They just dont bring good $$ even though they are scarcer than some more common E and T sets.

Corner crease, slightly off center, Id say a 3 (maybe 4??).

They are kind of neat, with the stadium in the background. I'm kicking myself because i forgot to bid on a BVG e91 Waddell graded a 4 for like $50 on ebay not too long ago !

I wouldn't mind getting a Waddell or a Plank though.

The SMR doesn't work well for pre-war cards (don't know about others). The price you paid is about right for a common in that condition. It's pretty nice for the series...Also., even though they are mostly generic, some of the e91-a cards do resemble the correct players.....
