My eyes hurt from scouring ebay and constantly checking the auction prices realized site to see if anything I was looking at could be had for a decent bargain after the discount. Ended up grabbing a PSA 6 1966 Mantle and a PSA 7OC Ryan rookie.

Spelling "Yastrzemski" correctly without needing to look it up since the 1980s.

One caveat, it won't work on all categories, just under the sports heading, which includes sports cards. I bought a Non-sports card and it won't take the code. I will just wait until sunday and use the new code which should cover everything.

The ebay bucks thing drives me crazy. I am signed up for the notifications, but I never get the notifications people here are always talking about. What the heck am I missing?? All the right boxes are checked, yet I get nothing sent to me. Once in a blue moon, I get a message on ebay, from ebay, alerting me of an ebay bucks promotion, but that's it.

I had the same issue. I asked eBay customer service why I was never included in the promos and was always told that users were picked at random. I asked 3 or 4 times over the course of about 2 years. The last time I finally talked to someone that actually wanted to help. She suggested that I chance the email address that I had attached to my eBay account. She said that somewhere along the line eBay had an issue with my email address. A lot of the emails I used to get from eBay went into my spam folder for some reason. This probably had something to do with the issue. Anyway, I created a gmail email account just for eBay. Since changing the email address I have gotten almost all of the Bucks promo emails. Even now I usually get notifications by checking my eBay messages on the eBay site before I get the promo emails on my gmail account

I saw that Ryan card and almost went for it. What price did you get it for?

It's weird, I didn't know what the price 'should' be, but when I saw the card (including shipping, it was listed for around $423) I instinctively thought, "Even without the discount, that seems like a pretty good price for a relatively solid, high grade Ryan rookie." It was the only 7 OC listed on ebay and when I looked at a ton of straight 5's and 6's for comparison, they were all seemingly priced much higher than that (some ridiculously so) and had virtually the same centering as the one I was looking at, although oddly enough, none had qualifiers (see the many examples/ebay screenshots posted below)...so I did some quick research on pricing and decided to jump on it.

The adjusted price was around $360.

The last 5 sales of PSA 7 OC's were:
$469.99
$290.00
$400.00
$450.00
$800.00

It was still pretty damn expensive, but a decent grab nonetheless, because straight 7's are priced so much further up in the ionosphere.

I got the SGC 3 Ryan. Been wanting that card for over 30 years and finally pulled the trigger. I actually paid less than what the eBay sale shows as he sent me an offer after I messaged him. I’m surprised eBay doesn’t reflect that. Either way I was south of $190 with the coupon. It was in line with other comps but an additional $18 in eBay bucks made it a pretty nice deal.
