the man in the middle in this photo. As I recall, he put on a few pounds once he was out of the game and was a broadcaster. Thoughts?

Dizzy Dean was 6'2" tall...that guy appears to be too short unless both of those other guys stood 6'5" tall which would have been uncommon for the time period.

part of what made me think it was him was someone put on a photo some time ago from when Dizzy was in a later part of his broadcasting career and he had put on a lot of weight by then. ANd if that was Sam Jones next to him, I read Jones was 6 ft 5, so that still might work with Dizzy being 6 ft 2- and by the mid 50s Dizzy might have gone to seed even more. The guy in the photo does have that big smile Dizzy had and he certainly seems like the backslapper type, but I acknowledge he doesn't have the same head of hair Dizzy had. Ahhhh well.

Well he has the same shape of face and smile as Diz. It's possible that it is him. And he had lost a lot of hair by the 1950s. I wouldn't discount it, but it doesn't matter much value wise anyway as snapshots of Dean are not rare or even very expensive. I have about 5 of them from his playing days and most were purchased off of ebay for small amounts.

Sam Jones pitched a couple of seasons around that time for the Cards so Maybe Diz was rubbing elbows with the local talent.
