While I doubt anyone here would ever intentionally provide a link or website which is gnarly, I recently went to a website which apparently gives coupons for discounts on items. I has asked about the website in which ebay gave discount coupons and price savings and someone provided that site, but someone else mentioned another site altogether and on going there I picked up a nsaty trojan virus which I finally got rid of after an hour.
On the other hand, someone here mentioned a free anti-virus software called Anti-Vir and I used it to remove the nasty bug, so it all worked out in the end.
Just be careful...

I gave you a site -that I've received discounts from. Was that the culprit?

Hi Steve. Not sure if it was that one or the FatWallet.com webpage but it was one of the two according to the anti-virus software. I don't think it was yours because it seems like the same webpage I clicked on last Christmas, but you never know...

I gave you the Fatwallet site... it's just a big forum where users can submit their leads, or discuss deals. They have strict rules against spyware, and referal adlinks so I'm not sure what you clicked on. Slickdeals is another decent site. They're legit sites. I only suggested it because it's a very popular website and it's my main source for getting the Ebay codes. I was trying to help.

I didn't create a hotlink for it, but I'd be curious to know what's going on here if you really think you got it from that site.

I run updated McAfee constantly. Haven't received any bugs whatsoever and I even went to the Fatwallet site without a hit. Like I said, I go to Current codes often and haven't caught a thing (that McAfee has found).

Anywaze, glad your system recovered. My son has a G5 and is always harping on me to buy a Mac, but I find the interface quite alien in appearance.
