How does this one look? With all the BS lately, I'm a little edgy about bidding on an ungraded card, but I want one of these. Whaddya think? It's a 1915 CrackerJack Mathewson. It's looks authentic. Opinions?

Thanks for any help!

Dan,

I only own 1 Cracker Jack, and I am by no means an expert, but this one looks good to me. Frank Ward would be a good person to run this one past. Good Luck.

But dan it has paper loss on the back in spots so don't bid much for it. I have one of two models if you want a nice one! I sent you scans of both of them if you look over the e-mails I sent you. pry open wallet, pull from perferations....add zeros and mail to me!

By the way Leon, the seller may be good...the high bidder is the same scammer pete and i investigated on the trimmed bunch of "no scanned" E-90 cards offered a couple of weeks ago! Some Putz named "Nino" who gets cards on consignment supposedly from a "John Shank" in Penn. A bunch of BS. The guy has four other e-mail addresses as I traced his I.P. and buys and sells Mustang parts...So,if he is a shill from Schilladelphia for the seller of the Matty...BEWARE!!!
Pete will confirm these guys sell trimmed cards....

are too pink in the face (I mean, real ones). That bothers me.

If you're going to get a '15, why shouldn't you get a clean one? (actuqally, I have more clean '14s than '15s, but be that as it may...)

Thanks Julie.

I would love to buy a clean one but I don't KNOW of another one yet!! I have gotten chastised a couple times today for even looking at this one with its back damage, but Criminy! I have to start somewhere. I have posted on this board my desire to buy Matty's, but nobody is breaking my door down to sell any...and, this is one I don't have yet. So, this will be a start to bring my Matty set "one card closer" to completion (if I win it and the price doesn't skyrocket).

Leon is going to post it on here for me/you tomorrow from work. I am not even certain what it is worth but I do have the provenance for you if you are interested. I have had it for 9 years ala "Wolfers" auction sales in San Francisco which,if you do not know Dan sold big ticket items before the principle owner was found selling faux game jerseys and literally jumped off the Golden gate bridge in 93 0r 4.
Anyway, I paid $4700 for it then. It should be up on here tomorrow unless leon is too busy selling warehouses full of computers and printers....
