Default Sockalexis!

Just got this beauty back from SGC today. I never thought I would be adding this to my Maine players collection. Not even mailed!

While I was anxiously waiting for my card to come back, I also got the amazing opportunity to view a private collection, and got to take some photos. I even, and this might be my favorite part, got to see the original (well, a copy of it) newspaper article that showed the box score from the exact game in the postcard!
There was also a cartoon, but I will NOT post images of that, because it was basically super racist (the Bangor team was playing a traveling African-American all-star team and got their a**es kicked).

I still can't believe I have Sockalexis in my baseball room! Now to find a suitable place for him...

That looks great in the SGC slab. Looking at that collection must have been awesome.

entirely too cool, never thought to even look for something with Sockalexis on it. May have to start looking for the Walker brothers to one up you!

I was wondering why that postcard sold for so much at auction a few weeks ago. I didn't realize Sockalexis was on that PC! Congrats on the find!!!
