Default talk about a blast from the past

1973 ASCCA NEW YORK CONVENTION PIN BABE RUTH, TY COBB Item number: 5107903748

The ASCCA (American Sports Card Collectors Association) ran THE show in NYC in the 1970's. The first show I ever attended was the Thanksgiving Weekend ASCCA show in New York at the Roosevelt Hotel. They used blocks of unused 1976 Yankees playoff tickets stamped on the back as admission tickets. Can't find mine now. What a great show that was; I filled in my Willie Mays collection with every last Topps regular issue. The 1952 and 1953 set me back $45, which was righteous bucks in those days--my dad had to lend me the last $25. My mom about killed him.
