Default 1939 Ted Williams - Centered 50/50

These folks who put centered 50/50 when selling a card like this should have an ice cream pushed into their face ...

I don’t see the issue. The right and bottom look centered (with respect to each other), same with the top and left side.

Unless you’re referring to top/bottom and left/right centering.

Definitely not centered either way; top nor bottom...

the card is hidden behind the little extra plastic. It is very centered (maybe 45/55) but it looks like crap because the seller didn't tap it out from behind that extra plastic. This is one of those where you could get a steal because it doesn't look centered unless you take a second look.

I don't mind if a card like this is described as "well-centered" -- because it is. Just don't say "50/50" when a blind man can see it's not.

Haha! Didn’t even look at the price. I remember Matty (Mr. perfect centering) sharing some examples of eBay items he won where the card was pressed up and under the ridges and one or two taps and, voila, it was “perfectly centered”. That is where there can be a “steal” if the seller doesn’t present his card properly.

That would be a waste of good ice cream. I'd suggest a cow patty.

I think this one has much better eye appeal even if it's not perfectly centered.

Do people obsessed with perfect centering notice minor asymmetries elsewhere in life?

I do but not quite to the extent I do on cards . But my peeve is more about the term 50/50 used where it shouldn't be. I wouldn't even use it on mine....though I might say it is close to 50/50.
(that SGC 92 above rocks)
ps...Barry- nice response.

I don't care about the centering, I am just very, very happy to own a Ted Williams rookie.
