Default 1933 Goudey and 1934 Goudey

Posted By: Jimi

Hi folks! I'm new to the group, and looking to get away from my newer collection in order to focus on my true love of pre-war cards. I am wanting any Goudeys in ANY condition (as long as it is hole and no writing on the front of the card unless it is a star card). I'd like to find someone who has a few of them to get me going with the collection if possible. I'm particularly interested in the 33 and 34 Goudeys.

I do not have much to trade from the pre-war era since I'm just getting back into it, but I can trade 50s and 60s stars or lots if some of you are still into that kind of stuff.

Thanks alot!!

Jimi

I'd recommend starting out with some commons if you're looking to collect the set, but if you're interested and have a chunk on money to invest, my Babe Ruth #144 (currently pictured on the "recent pick-ups" thread) is available for SMR value, $2500. Average closing price on ebay in the past year has been $2460 (plus S/H/I).
