Default 1930's on-field photographers

Looking for images similar to these but from the 1930's era. Trying to nail down the style/model of cameras used by any on-field photographers that would have been shooting with glass plate negatives. This photo is from the 1910's I believe, so it's a bit earlier than what I'm after.

Surprisingly, there seem to be very few images out there of the photographers themselves. Figured I'd come across at least a few photographers in the background of images featuring players but no :

Andrew- if there is such a place, you may try something like 'Associated Press Archives'. If such a place still exists, they would be a good information source.

Thanks, I've searched www.apimages.com and www.gettyimages.com. So far I've found these two but I'm still searching :

(Original Caption) 4/12/1932 - Philadelphia, PA: Babe Ruth takes a picture of Lou Gehrig before the start of the opening game of the 1932 baseball season between the New York Yankees and the Philadelphia Athletics at Shibe Park.

(Original Caption) 4/30/1938-Washington, D.C.: Photo shows Joe DiMaggio as he singled in the first inning of the game between the Yankees and the Washington Senators. He later scored the second run in the first inning.

Andrew,
Catspajamas was collecting photos of photographers as well. Maybe he will pipe in soon. Good luck.

As Bill mentioned, photographs of photographers is one of my niches of collecting, and I pick them up whenever I can to go along with my off-and-on research of sports photographers. There are several pictured in the thread here:

I know that George Burke in particular used a Graflex camera that originally held 5"x7" glass plates and which he converted over to use 5"x7" film in the 1930's. George Brace also used a Graflex, though a later version of the popular camera which was smaller/lighter and held 4"x6" negatives. Norman Paulson likewise used a Graflex early in his career, though I am not sure which model. All three of these would have been actively using a Graflex in the 1930's. A photo of Burke's camera is below.

How about this photo. This photo shows the only on field photographers for the 1932 Olympic Games in Los Angeles. They are Paul Strite Acme Newspictures, Don Brinn official Olympic photographer, Harry Wissig official Olympic photographer, Frank Filan AP, Joe Mingo World Wide and Hugh Arnott International Newspictures.

The cameras they appear to be using are Graflex R. B. Super D Fieldview, Graflex Century Graphic and 4x5 Speed Graflex.

Glad to help. As I have a large archive of photos of Olympians I decided to add items related to photographers of the Games. I have vests, bibs, patches, tickets and credentials all used by Olympic photographers.

Default Vandy at Ebbets Field on June 17th, 1938

Here is a cool shot of a photographer trying to get a close up shot of Johnny "Double No-Hit" Vander Meer only two days after he pitched his 2nd consecutive no-hitter in 1938.

I picked this up in the most recent RMY Auction.
