Default From the South

I'm making the drive from the Columbia River to the Shoreline.

I'm hoping to buy old baseball cards from friendly dealers and visit with affable collectors in attendance to do the same.

That actually happens here every time , every show

I am looking forward to this!

Default Blast

Gosh I had a good time at the WSSCA show

I got to hang out with my good pals Dave & Rick (plus we caught a Mariners game!) both before and after the show.

During the show, it was great to see my pal Mark Macrae and score a stack of OBAK cards. Always fun to joke around with Conor, Andrew and others. I scored even more OBAK cards from Matt S.
I actually started at Keith's table to grab a few OBAKS. I ended up with 2 dozen hits to my 1910 and 1911 lists on the day!

Pal Larry Moe is a Zeenut legend. I think he has memorized every player from every team and every year of issue. That is very impressive, then you realize that Mark and Keith are right in front of you and they can probably do it too!

What is it about these PCL collectors that make them so cool?

Well I don't know, but now that I am collecting OBAK cards, some of that cool might rub off. I can only hope!

I hope this longest lasting card show never ends!
See you in November!

Cheers, Brian! It was fun hanging out and chatting. I had a lot of great conversations as well, and as always, went home better educated. The knowledge and stories in that room are unreal......always a treat.

Another great show, still the longest running show in the hobby. It was great to see the crew over the weekend. Brian, for the November show, we'll cover up the nameplates of the Obaks and see who can identify most of them..
