Default Were T205 ML's Influenced By T80's (Military Series)?

I've always been fascinated with the 12 ML cards in the T205 set and why they are so different than the AL and NL cards. Do you think they were influenced by the T80 set? Below is a link to a current eBay auction for one of them.

There have been a few theories in regards to this. I have always thought the military and bird series are part of the 400 group series. But I have also wondered if the Minor Leaguers were part of another set all together and just included in the T205's because of the baseball relation.

Hi Tyler

The T80 cards were printed and issued circa Feb 1911 (at the tail end of the T206 print runs).

....also, T80's exist with extremely rare OLD MILL backs

The twelve T205 Minor League cards were printed and issued circa Fall/Winter 1911. Therefore, I don't think the T80's had an immediate influence in the design of
the Minor League cards.

Perhaps at the end of the T205 print run, American Lithographic had the artist who created the T80's do the design of the Minor League cards.

Personally, I prefer the artistic design of the T80's....and I wish that all of the T205 cards looked like their Minor League cards.
