Default Is this real...a '52 Topps Mantle "miscut" reprint ??

Would a reprint be miscut ?
What do you think ?

It's got the missing pixel and the overlapping top left corner...not sure...but I agree, the color looks off.

For what it's worth, I've definitely seen miscut reprints.

Reprints just like any legit card can be miscut. The card pictured is not miscut or a reprint.

When the person counterfeited the card they did not get the back and front aligned when printing.IMHO

There have been so many posts concerning the "typical" reprints having perfect centering that some counterfeiter concocted the mis-cut reprint that we see here. IMO, the mis-cut was intentional.

Not necessarily disagreeing with you, but I don't know how you tell color without seeing the card in-hand anymore. There are literally hundreds if not thousands of different ways to alter or enhance color on scans or on phones these days.

I don't know a ton about '52 Mantle reprints but the card does not look like a dead giveaway for a counterfeit / reprint to me.

seems like it has that fake alligator surface aging running left to right instead of top to bottom...

Does anyone know the last time an ungraded Mantle rookie sold on ebay, that was later graded and actually came out authentic?

I believe it was during the Pleistocene Era, but don't quote me on that.
