Default Completed My First caramel Set

Posted By: Jon Canfield

So many people on this Board helped me complete my first caramel set so this is a thank you to all. Although this is probably the easiest caramel set to finish, I started the E95's in November and finished last month. I then sent all the cards to SGC for grading and received them back today so I wanted to share with you all. I still have to cross the Plank over to SGC and unfortunately my Willis got a MIS (miscut) but all the rest look pretty in SGC's black backgrounds. There are also two McIntyres pictured. One is missing the name on the bottom and has Maddox's name across the top - and interesting miscut that compliments the set...

What a nice looking set. Good for you!

OK, roll call of contributors? I think it'd be kind of interesting to see the interplay of diff board members in someone compiling a set.

Except I can't remember which one I contributed. Wow - that's pretty pathetic - it hasn't been but a little over a month!! Hoffman?

Joann - Yes you were the Hoffman. Now, I don't remember where I got every card from but here are the cards I purchased from the Board (that I can remember)...

Evers from Toby
Wagner from King
These cards came from various board members - sorry i forgot who specifically!!! Chance, Carrigan, McIntyre, Devlin, Cicotte, Willetts, Crawford, Leach, Lord and Reulbach. Most came from the B/S/T threads but some came from members communicating with me.

Thanks again to everyone who helped!

every prewar collector should own an e95 set at one time in my opinion, very fun little set with some nice colorful cards.

way to go!!!

Jay

I like to sit outside, drink beer and yell at people. If I did this at home, I would be arrested. So, I go to baseball games and fit right in.

it's fun to work on a set and complete it if does not cost you your firsr born and take 15 years. Those two factors worked in your favor here. Godd job. Now will you want to upgrade it or put it away for a rainy day?

Some will be upgraded. I'd probably like to have everything around a 30 so as I see some cards that I think will fit nicely with the set, I'll upgrade.

Congratulations Jon!

Glad I could contribute the Lord and Reulbach to the set! I've missed my E95's since I sold most of them, but I still have the Merkle to keep me company.
