Default Heine Groh--What do you have?

I've always been intrigued by Groh, especially his bottle bats. Anyone have any bats, auto's, etc of his? I was doing some weekend cleaning and had these out, so I thought I'd share.

Default Groh bat

Back in the 70's, when I was a kid, my father and I were going through the hall of fame museum, and we came across one of these. I'd never heard of Groh, but my father got a big kick out of seeing one.

I once had a Heinie Groh Bottle Bat (early Reach Block Letter Example) and noticed on close inspection it was CORKED! You could see the plug at the top and the cork inside had dried up and was rattling around. Maybe that how he swung that big old stick around!

This Zinn Beck was on the market a few times over the last several years. I'm not sure who has it now. It's a beauty.

I owned it at one point. I think I picked it up on ebay if I remember right. Just a great bat!

Here (finally) is my Heine Groh gamer. Tiny knob/huge barrel.

Very high quality and tight grained dark wood... almost like brownish black marble.
