Default Babe Ruth Game Used Bat "Hammer"?!?!?!

I'm on the market for Babe Ruth Game Used Items... haven't been able to find the right item in my price range. Then I see that Lelands is offering a Game Used Bat "Hammer" that was said to be passed down in the family and made from a "gamer" from the Babe himself.. worried that the only provenance is going to be the listing itself.

Its at around $1000 with a week left and I'm curious to get opinions to what it is worth or what you think it will all sell for.

It's actually kind of neat, but if someone offered it to me for $500, I'd pass.

Default Babe Hammer Bat

Perfect buy for a card company who wants to be able to say they cut up a Ruth bat in order to place a sliver of wood on a trading card.

Nice oddball piece. But, a family story isn't the only authentication. Unlike a regular game used bat that can be examined by bar experts. this is very difficult. Great piece but in my opinion not worth a huge risk
